How do you do HDR? I just started trying to do it and I'm not quite sure if I have it right yet or not.

anyways, it's great. The tractor-trailer thingamawhatsit in the right corner is a lil' distracting but hey that gives it character.

Well this shot was 3 exposures. One -1 stop, 0, and +1 stop. The program helps a lot though, its photomatix or something...I'm on my laptop but I'll let you know.

hmm, I just did a 4 exposure one and used the merge to HDR function in photoshop but the 32-bitness of it made it almost useless for me because it can't be read as an image file and once you convert it to 16 bit it really kind of ruined it, or so it seemed. maybe I'm just paranoid haha.

oh and I just read this [link] today... doesn't that just piss you off to no end?

That does piss me off in one way, I feel like Analog is oftentimes photography's last saving grace.

Anyways yes photoshop does a crap job of it, but 32 bit is really not a big deal I dont think because the most any digital images really contain is 14 bit. IF however I scan my color negatives 48 bit is how I do that. At any rate when you print an image 16 bit is the most the printer will understand at this point. This was a bit of a ramble I'm sorry, I hope it helped though lol.

I would recommend Photomatix Pro, you can download the trial, but once you tone map (the only thing on there that makes a decent looking image in the end result really) it puts its watermarks on it so you cant use the image without purchasing. It would be worth to mess around with/ buy or find a key for it.

haha, I love a good ramble sir and thanks for the info. I had a version of that program with a key via BitTorrent not too long ago and it was pretty sweet, a lot that I didn't know how to use though. However I just bought a new computer and now I'm too busy drooling over it's incredible gaming performance haha.
