i love the description. 
this shot is really great...and it's one that i can relate with on my own, which i love. just as that little seed is off to "start a new life", essentially, so am i, off to college. that's my connection, anyway.
my only critique is that i wish the whole thing was in focus, and especially the singular seed, since it is the focus of the concept. other than that, though, the shot is great. i love the green tone of the background...it's surreal, somehow...heavy, or something, which contrasts with the light feeling created by the dandelion. sometimes shots like this can be cliche around here, but you've connected this with a concept that takes it out of that cliche category. great work.
